Medical information

This site is for general education only. It is not medical advice and does not replace a diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a doctor, nurse, or other qualified health provider. Talk to your provider about your own health, and see one promptly about any breast change. Never delay or ignore medical advice because of something you read here. In an emergency, call 911.

Sources

Educational content on this site is adapted and summarized from public resources, including:

  • Self-exam steps, prevention tips, and glossary entries from the United Breast Cancer Foundation
  • Statistics and screening guidelines from the American Cancer Society
  • Stages, types, and treatment overviews from the National Cancer Institute
  • Work, insurance, and financial guidance from Triage Cancer
  • Screening recommendations from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force

Cash for Cancer is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of these organizations. Medical guidelines and statistics change over time. We try to keep this site current but cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or up to date.

Insurance information

Cash for Cancer markets life insurance products, including policies with living benefits. Living benefits, sometimes called accelerated death benefits or critical, chronic, or terminal illness riders, may let a policyholder receive part of the policy’s death benefit while living after a qualifying diagnosis.

  • Availability, benefit amounts, eligibility, and terms vary by policy, insurance carrier, and state. Not all products are available in all states.
  • All coverage is subject to underwriting and approval by the insurance carrier. Conditions diagnosed before a policy is issued, including Cancer, may limit or exclude coverage.
  • Receiving a living benefit reduces the death benefit paid to beneficiaries and may affect taxes or eligibility for government programs such as Medicaid or SSI. Talk to a tax or benefits professional about your situation.
  • Nothing on this site is an offer, guarantee, or contract of insurance. The policy documents issued by the carrier control your coverage.

Legal and financial information

Information about employment rights, insurance, and finances is general and is not legal, tax, or financial advice. Laws differ by state and change over time. For advice about your situation, talk to a qualified attorney or advisor, or use the free navigation services listed on this site.
